What are Oral Health guidelines?

Oral health guidelines are recommendations for maintaining optimal oral hygiene and preventing dental diseases. Key guidelines include:
Preventive Dentistry Brush teeth at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily to remove plaque and food particles between teeth, limit sugary foods and drinks, and eat a balanced diet to support oral health.
Oral Hygiene and Public Health Visit the dentist regularly for check-ups and professional cleanings, use an antimicrobial or fluoride mouthwash to reduce plaque and strengthen enamel.
Oral Cancer Prevention Avoid smoking and using tobacco products to prevent oral cancer and gum disease, and undergo regular screenings for early detection of oral cancer.
Nutrition and Oral Health Use fluoride treatments or supplements, especially in areas with low fluoride levels in water, and drink plenty of water, especially fluoridated water, to help wash away food particles and bacteria.
Protective Gear Wear mouthguards during sports and use protective gear to prevent dental injuries.
